Dog boarding in the Laurentians
Located in Val-David, in the heart of the Laurentians
Whether you’re planning a business or pleasure trip, your pet may not be able to accompany you. Fortunately, you can rest easy knowing that your dog is safe at Duquette Farm Kennels. Even if you’re only going away for a weekend or overnight, we’ll be happy to accommodate your dog’s needs.
40 years of experience in dog boarding.
For more than 40 years, Ferme Duquette has been boarding dogs and breeding Belgian Shepherd dogs (Tervueren). We know how to make a dog happy.
Large property between field and forest.
Several times a day, we will take a walk with your dog. Whether in the fields or in the forest, your dog will discover a fascinating environment.
A quality kennel and environment.
In a building exclusively reserved for the care of dogs and cats, your pet will feel safe and warm or cool, depending on the season.
To each his own individual space.
Your dog has a large individual space, whether it is indoors or outdoors. Whether your dog is small or large, we ensure his safety and well-being.
From the smallest to the largest dog.
No matter the size or breed of your dog: Papillons, Shepherds, Cattle Dogs, Spaniels, Danes, Bulls, they are welcome in our home as long as they are friendly with humans.
Your dog’s diet

- In order not to disrupt your dog’s diet, you must bring his food which can be kibble, canned or freeze-dried food (raw dehydrated).
- Portions/meals can be prepared and bagged individually (bags will be returned or recycled). This method ensures that there will be enough food for your dog’s entire stay.
- It is recommended that you bring a few extra bags/cans so that you do not run out of food if your dog’s stay is prolonged.
- If food is not provided for the duration of your dog’s stay, you will be charged $4 per day.
- Treats and chewy bones, even frozen, are always welcome.
Vaccinations and flea treatment
Before your dog can be admitted to the kennel, we must ensure that his vaccinations are up to date. You are required to bring a copy of the veterinary vaccination record. The collar tag is not enough, it can be anyone’s tag. The appropriate documentation from the veterinarian includes the name and breed of the dog, as well as your name and address, as you are the owner of the dog. All dogs at the kennel must be vaccinated.
- Dogs must have received their basic vaccines; parvovirus, kennel cough and rabies.
- The certificate issued by your veterinarian with the expiration dates and the identity of your veterinarian must be presented when your dog arrives.
- A flea treatment and deworming are also mandatory.
